Poly - MVA Protocol

Over the past few years, more than 300 physicians have used Poly-MVA successfully as part of many different kinds of protocols – some for general nutritional support and some for the treatment of diseases such as cancer.  Some of these physicians have now had more than seven year’s clinical experience using Poly-MVA with patients.  Their studies have provided additional insights on both the safety and effectiveness of Poly-MVA.  Dr. Garnett agrees that these physicians have a unique perspective with regard to the clinical use of Poly-MVA, since their area of expertise is the treatment of the human body. Therefore, it is from their collected wisdom, based on their clinical experience with Poly-MVA, that these updated guidelines for the use of Poly-MVA have been compiled.

Poly-MVA is SAFE, even for pregnant women, nursing mothers and children under the age of two. Extensive testing, both in the laboratory and in the field over the last ten years, has shown this to be true. Poly-MVA supports normal cells -- even rapidly-dividing ones.  Poly-MVA hydrates and energizes normal cells, while either normalizing or killing abnormal cells.

Dosages, and the Number of Bottles of Needed per Month:

Each 8 oz. bottle contains 48 teaspoons (240 cc) Poly-MVA.  Dosages are weight-dependent: dosage increases as weight increases.  For the treatment of disease, (therapeutic dosages), use under the supervision of a physician and/or a qualified licensed alternative medical practitioner.

As a longevity tonic or for prevention of disease: The adult dosage is ½ to 1 tsp. per day. One 8 oz. bottle will last 7 to 14 weeks.

Adults with early stage diseases:

Initial  doses:       Day 1:  2 tsp.,  (1 tsp., twice.)

Day 2:  4 tsp.,  (1 tsp., four times.)

                  Days 3-10:  8 tsp. (2 tsp., 4 times.)

Then reduce to 4 tsp. daily, (2 tsp., twice daily), until desired results are achieved. For  maintenance of remission, 1-2 tsp. daily. Eight bottles are needed for the first three months.

Adults with late stage diseases:

Although the label on the bottle references a “standard” dosage, physicians and patients alike have reported better overall results on a dosage of 12-16 tsp. a day, ( 3-4 tsp., 4 times daily) for at least three months. After that, consult with your physician, and/or a qualified licensed alternative medical practitioner, and a Poly-MVA consultant about the feasibility of dosage reduction. 16 to 20 bottles are needed for the first two months.  Take  2 tsp. the first day and 4 the 2nd day, as above. For maintenance of remission, 1-2 tsp. daily.

Please note: If you are an adult recently in remission from a serious disease, and you are just now beginning to use Poly-MVA, you are advised to follow the entire “early stage” protocol, starting with 12 tsp. per day.  DO NOT START WITH THE “MAINTENANCE DOSAGE.

Children with early stage diseases:

1 tsp. per 30 pounds of body weight per day until desired results achieved. For maintenance of remission, 1/2-1 tsp. daily.

Children with late stage diseases:

1 tsp. per 20 pounds of body weight per day for at least three months before reducing the dosage. After that, consult the child’s physician, and/or qualified licensed alternative medical practitioner. For maintenance of remission, 1/2-1 tsp. daily.

 Pets:

For daily nutritional support or as a longevity tonic: Use 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. per day depending on body weight.

For Minimum support 1/2 cc per every 5 pounds of body weight, twice daily. Continue until desired results are achieved. It is then suggested to stay on the maintenance dose of 1-2 cc daily depending on body weight of pet.

For Maximum support 1 cc per 5 pounds of body weight, twice daily. Continue until desired results are achieved. It is then suggested to stay on the maintenance dose of 1-2 cc daily depending on body weight of pet.

How to take Poly-MVA:

Poly-MVA may be taken at any time, with or without food, although some practitioners believe that absorption increases when Poly-MVA is taken on an empty stomach.  We therefore suggest that Poly-MVA be taken on an empty stomach no less than 30 minutes before eating or taking other supplements.  If discomfort is experienced taking it this way, then take with some milk or food.  To improve taste, Poly-MVA may be mixed into a little juice, such as cranberry, grape, prune or vegetable. *See special note below regarding Co Q 10.

Use plastic, glass, or ceramic measuring devices and spoons, not metal ones, as metal ones adversely affect the taste of Poly-MVA.

Take the daily amount of Poly-MVA in divided doses if possible: for example, 3 teaspoons, 4 times daily – three times before meals and once before bed. If taking 1 tsp. daily or less, it’s fine to take it all at once. If irresolvable scheduling conflicts prevent dividing the daily dosage, take it all at once.

Taking Poly-MVA with Anti-oxidants, Chelators, Fiber and Steroids:

All anti-oxidants, (including Vitamin C up to 1000 mg a day, and detoxification products), may be taken within 30 minutes after taking Poly-MVA.  If you are taking between one and five grams of Vitamin C daily, wait six hours before taking Poly-MVA. If you are taking megadoses of Vitamin C, ( 5-150 grams per day), under the supervision of your physician, then your physician’s protocol will determine what interval of time, if any, should elapse between taking the Vitamin C and Poly-MVA.  Some physicians have success leaving no time in between; others have success leaving 6 hours between; others, up to 48 hours.  Your physician must make the determination based on all the pertinent factors of your individual case.

Note*  The use of large doses of the anti-oxidant, Co enzyme Q 10, (Co Q 10), sometimes enables Poly-MVA to access areas of the body where it normally would not be able to go, for example, areas where there is little circulation. For this reason, some physicians recommend taking 400 mg daily of the standard form of Co Q 10 with Poly-MVA.

When using intravenous chelation therapy or oral chelation supplements to remove heavy metals or arterial plaque from the body, leave an interval of at least 24 hours between using the chelates and Poly-MVA, as the chelates may deactivate Poly-MVA.  In other words, take the chelates and the Poly-MVA on alternating days.

If using a fiber supplement such as psyllium seed husks, bran, or ground flax seeds, leave an interval of at least an hour between taking it and taking Poly-MVA or any other supplement or pharmaceutic agent, to ensure that your supplements and medicines can be properly absorbed.  Fiber tends to absorb supplements, and can also whisk them through the digestive tract too quickly for proper absorption to occur.

Moderate to heavy use of steroids has, in some cases, diminished the effectiveness of Poly-MVA.  There is no way to definitively state what dosage of any given steroid is too much, because everyone's body is different.  If you are taking steroids, you should be under the supervision of a physician.  To lower dosages of steroids safely, you must do it slowly, and with your physician’s monitoring.

The Following May also Diminish the Effectiveness of Poly-MVA:

1.      Use of tobacco in any form.

2.      Exposure to insecticides and herbicides.

3.      Use of additional alpha lipoic acid, lipoic acid or thioctic acid.

Contraindications:

No contraindications are known at this time when Poly-MVA is used either

1)      As a primary therapy.

2)      In combination with medicines or other supplements.

3)      As an adjuvant therapy, concurrently with primary conventional therapies such as radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery.

Patients experiencing pleural effusion, (the accumulation of fluid around the lungs), require careful monitoring by their physicians.  One cause of pleural effusion is a rapid die-off of cancer cells.  Since Poly-MVA can sometimes initiate a rapid die-off, patients may need to reduce their dosage of Poly-MVA, or discontinue taking it altogether until the fluid dissipates or is drained off.

Storage and Shelf Life:

It is not necessary to refrigerate Poly-MVA, but you may if you wish.  Do not expose Poly-MVA to direct sunlight, since such exposure may affect the taste.  Exposure to heat is not a problem. Use by the recommended date on the product.

Conditions for which Poly-MVA has been Reported Beneficial:

  • Malignancies of many kinds.

  • Loss of appetite or weight.

  • Fatigue or lack of vitality

  • Pain and pain management.

  • Certain non-malignant diseases and conditions: Lupus, fibromytosis, psoriasis, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and Alzheimer’s disease.

  • Maintenance of remissions.

  • When radiation is indicated, post-radiation damage is often diminished with concurrent administration of Poly-MVA.

  • When radiation or chemotherapy is indicated, Poly-MVA sometimes makes lower doses as effective as higher ones. Overall, your program will be much more effective using Poly-MVA
Note:

These benefits are due to Poly-MVA’s ability to support and maintain optimum health. Poly-MVA helps to provide the essential nutrients and cell protection that can strengthen the immune system. It can also help to eliminate the deficiencies and weaknesses that can contribute to the development of serious degenerative illnesses, including cancer, arthritis, and MS. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.

Reactions that Occur Rarely and are Normal:

A cleansing reaction, also called a “detoxification reaction” or “healing crisis”.  This is caused by Poly-MVA working faster than your body can handle comfortably.  Reduce your dosage until the symptoms disappear. Symptoms may include rash, headache, unusual or strong body odors, diarrhea, fatigue, nausea, or a temporary worsening of existing conditions.  If someone gets a cleansing reaction, it is almost certain that Poly-MVA is working for them.

Cleansing reactions will be greatly reduced when using a custom designed nutritional program. This will support your body’s natural healing abilities and quicken the elimination of toxins. Why suffer? Call so we may help!

A temporary spiking of cancer markers due to a large cancer “die-off”.  In the book, An Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide to Cancer, Jesse Stoff, M.D., an alternative medical doctor, is interviewed regarding this subject:
Dr. Stoff has observed that cancer markers do not always provide the best indication of the specific character or relative aggressiveness of a cancer. With breast cancer, for example, there are four different cancer markers, but it is rare to find a breast cancer that produces more than two or three of them. “You can have a huge tumor sitting there and any one of these markers can be well within normal range,” Dr. Stoff says. There is also a less than adequate correlation between cancer markers and the tumor mass. “You can have people with advanced metastatic disease and only moderately elevated levels of cancer markers, and vice versa,” Dr. Stoff says. But consistent correlations between tumor mass and cancer markers can serve as a rough approximation of how well the battle is going for any one individual, he adds.

When the treatment activates the immune system to respond to the tumor cells, the cancer markers will typically start showing a sudden rise or spike. This is because large amounts of proteins (tumor antigens, or cancer markers) are released as the cancer cells begin to die. “The cancer markers will go through the ceiling at this point,” Dr. Stoff says. “One needs to be prepared for this from a psychological point of view.” If blood tests are done, cancer patients should realize that the rise will be transient and that markers will drop precipitously as the immune system’s scavenging cells, the macrophages, sweep up the cancer cells’ debris.

“The take-home lesson is that if you look at cancer markers only, you may get an inaccurate picture of how the cancer is behaving at that time,” says Dr. Stoff. “The test should be repeated later on to ensure that the original reading is truly a spike, not an absolute, prolonged rise in cancer markers.”

Poly-MVA may act as a paramagnetic contrast agent:  After several months of use, or after use at high dosages for a shorter time, Poly-MVA has sometimes been known to act as a paramagnetic contrast agent in some X-ray and MRI scans. Poly-MVA, a complex compound, contains minerals which vibrate when exposed to paramagnetic radiation, and which can produce a radio-opaque halo/shadow, that if not carefully evaluated, leads to a misreading of the X-ray or MRI.

The prime concern is that a shadow caused by Poly-MVA might be mistaken for a shadow of something else. Based on this feedback from physicians using Poly-MVA, we recommend that all individuals using Poly-MVA give their physicians this information so that the most accurate radiological evaluation can be achieved.

In those cases where the individual is doing fine and the only problematic finding is that the MRI or X-ray shows a worsening condition, additional investigation would be appropriate.  A CT scan may be preferable, thus avoiding the paramagnetic effect of the MRI and the palladium.
